Community meetings

From time to time we organize community meetings which are often devoted to practical dream weaving sessions and meetings and designed to work in partnership with our Community Message Board. This is where you can get the opportunity to connect to other members of the Qultura community in ways which are meaningful and significant.

dream weaving

Community meetings, particularly those which are centred around dream weaving activity and practice, do not involve any agenda. There is no purpose. There is no clear purpose or objective associated with the meeting. The meeting is purely all about dream weaving.

Being present and involved

To get involved in a Qultura community meeting you don't need anything other than to turn up with an open mind and be prepared to get involved.

This we understand can be quite difficult and challenging for most people as we are socially and mentally conditioned to understand that any meeting has to have a purpose and an agenda. But see life doesn't necessarily have to have a purpose or agenda. Life just simply is. The universe just simply is. This planet is just simply is. You just simply are. If you are conscious, breathing and are able to move and pee, you are on some fundamental level successful at life. You don't need any agenda or purpose.

But see your mind is space. Your thoughts are space. Space is what defines relationship and connection. Any purpose or agenda is based on desire, which is energy. As dream weaving is a magical activity and all magic is based on connection and relationship, the one thing you need to participate in dream weaving activity is clarity of mind. Understand that any agenda or purpose negates the possibility of magic and dream weaving activity.

Essentially all you need to participate in a Qultura meeting is an open mind, to be present and involved, and some kind of narrative or story from your life.

What happens during a community meeting?

All such community meetings are facilitated by our founder Stella Baker who is an experienced mystic, shaman, and dream weaver who has undergone training to become a shaman and has many years experience of dream weaving. Having not only authored Qultura methodology she's also studied ritual magic for 40 years and is considered to be an excellent and insightful spiritual guide and community resource for all things mystical.

Using various mystical resources you will be required to interact with others and develop a narrative or a story based on your own individual life experience and perspective and encouraged to express yourself freely and spontaneously.

How dream weaving works in practice

Imagine there is a place where you could find everything that you've ever lost throughout your life, starting with your childhood. What would you look for? What would you be most delighted to find or recover? What about all the things you have completely forgotten about?

When done effectively, dream weaving brings out different memories, thoughts and feelings from your subconscious memory and gives you a much greater insight into yourself and the nature of your life. The general principle is that you know all the answers to the questions you are asking. But all too often your normal everyday plane of consciousness and perceived level of reality is much too superficial and not deep enough to reach those answers or access that insight.

Therefore community meetings which are centred around dream weaving activity take place on a level of reality and deeper plane of consciousness than your normal everyday reality and consciousness. If you're coming into the meeting with a desire or an expectation that something is going to happen or of some agenda or objective you will not be able to reach that deeper level of reality or plane of consciousness.

Therefore what you need to do is find a way of detaching or not attaching yourself to your normal everyday plane of consciousness and level of reality and come to the meeting with an open mind prepared to experience a deeper sense of reality and a different state of consciousness in community. Once the community meeting is over you will be free to return to your normal everyday reality and state of consciousness.

Relationships between participants

The Qultura community is an empathy focussed community and community meetings (involving dream weaving) are essentially an exercise in developing present conscious awareness and what is known as 'being in the moment' or the here and now.

The way you connect to other participants at a community meeting and other members of the community are immaterial, because we are working with deeper levels of reality and planes of consciousness outside that we normally associate with the superficial everyday reality and consciousness.

All Qultura community meetings are designed to be unique and highly individual events and no two community meetings will ever be the same or even similar. Therefore your relationship with other participants will change from meeting to meeting just as you in yourself will change from meeting to meeting. What this means is that from each and every meeting you will gain some kind of new insight which you can work into your usual or normal everyday plane of consciousness.

Potential benefits

We are all going through life with our own individual struggles, with our own individual questions and own individual desires and expectations of what we want or hope our lives to be. Indeed it's virtually impossible to go through life without such struggles, such questions and such expectations of life.

Often all it can take is a split second of insight which comes to you through dream weaving at a community meeting that can give you the conscious insight to find an answer or end a struggle. How this happens is a complete mystery. Nobody can explain it. But being in that deeper consciousness and on that deeper level of reality it comes to you. You find the answer. You end the struggle.

But there are other benefits too. Through dream weaving practice, doing not much more than using language through social interaction, or maybe a bit of role play and drama, you are centring yourself and bringing yourself back to that natural state of mindfulness. This is especially useful if you struggle with mental health issues because it can often mitigate the symptoms and smooth out the cycles to give you some middle ground, giving you a sense of equilibrium, balance, cohesion and flow. These are not benefits you need to believe in, but subtle differences which you experience directly in your everyday life.

Another benefit is the connection of different states of consciousness and the promotion of sleep hygiene, something which doctors back up. It is possible over time to connect your everyday waking state of consciousness to your unconscious states such as you experience through sleep. This can be easily achieved through regular and sustained dream weaving practice.
